Hawaiian Electric, through its HEI Charitable Foundation, recently made a $1,000 donation to Wailuku Hongwanji on behalf of Samantha Takamura. Ms. Takamura was named recipient of Hawaiian Electric’s Kokua Community Champion Service Award for Maui, an award given to a Hawaiian Electric employee who has demonstrated exemplary volunteer service in our community. Her community service includes her active leadership in Wailuku Hongwanji’s vibrant Sakura 4-H club.
