In April the 4-H Maui County program held their annual Teach-in event on UH Maui campus. 4H members of all ages presented poems or demonstrations in front of an audience of peers, their families and judges.
Sakura 4-H girls from the Friends Forever and Lōkahi Girls shared a variety of recipes from making your own pizza, Caramel Apples, Japchae, Chocolate Lasagna, Disassembled Spam Musubi and science experiment for salad dressing. And the Aloha Girls took their turns at reciting their favorite poems while a few Shining Stars watched on in preparation for maybe their turn next year.
We would like to thank the host club, the Maui Girls, who did a wonderful job. Our girls learned a lot from this experience and also the pipe-cleaner flower making project to end the day was just in time for Teacher Appreciation Week.
