COME BE PART OF OUR TEMPLE COMMUNITY: Wailuku Hongwanji is a place where people gather to learn, celebrate traditions, support one another, and find comfort through the Buddha Dharma. Whether you’ve been part of the temple for decades or are simply curious about what we do, you’re always welcome. As Maui’s Community Temple, we offer opportunities for all ages through services, educational programs, cultural events, volunteer activities, and community organizations. Membership helps sustain these programs while providing benefits such as reduced rates for select temple programs and facility rentals, voting privileges, and opportunities to help shape our temple’s future. If membership dues present a financial hardship, please contact the temple office. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to be part of our temple community.
