DS Students Achieve Big in 2024-2025!

Wailuku Hongwanji Mission’s 21 Dharma School students had a wonderful year filled with exciting and innovative activities, as well as meaningful class and group lessons on Jodo Shinshu teachings. Most inspiring was their dedication to service throughout the year. These remarkable students volunteered as kansho bell ringers, emcees, greeters, offertory collectors, and aspiration readers during temple services—demonstrating both enthusiasm and a strong sense of community.

Supporting them every step of the way were their devoted parents and grandparents, who generously gave their time and encouragement. The Dharma School staff— Laurie Fukushima-Tsai, Sandy Hirata, Julie Petro, Shelley Quipotla, Sammy Takamura, and Joan Tamori— extend heartfelt thanks to all parents, church members, and the Buddhist Women’s Association (BWA) for their continued support
