Wailuku Hongwanji Preschool welcomed 2026 with a strong start, beginning with Registration Day on January 5, when 17 families arrived bright and early at 6:00 a.m. Our students also received free vision screenings, thanks to the Lions Club of Maui!
Looking ahead, preschoolers will enjoy several enriching experiences, including a visit from Storybook Theatre’s Capt. N Mark and his “Tiger Shark,” the introduction of Nihongo (Japanese language) classes, and a special temple visit with Rev. Murakami.
This month’s focus is helping children learn about their community and the many roles within it. Parents are warmly encouraged to connect with the preschool director to explore ways to participate and support these activities.
