あけましておめでとう ! Since our last update, the Aloha Girls have been busy with the 4-H County Christmas event hosted by the Maui Girls, Osoji at Wailuku Hongwanji Mission, and a fun educational outing to the Maui Tropical Plantation. Aunty Krystle led a 40-minute tour aboard the Maui Tropical Express, where the girls learned about native Hawaiian plants and participated in coconut husking. The adventure continued with a lively wordguessing game, followed by time feeding ducks and turtles, fun and learning for both girls and parents alike.
In December, the Shining Stars and Friends Forever clubs supported the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign at Maui Lani Safeway during its 130th anniversary. Friends Forever also joined the General Cleanup in the Social Hall and are preparing for an upcoming service project at Waihe‘e Coastal Refuge, where they will help weed and plant native species. The Sakura clubs look forward to a bright and meaningful year ahead with everyone.
