Kindness Lessons

In December, Sandy Hirata, dharma school teacher, and Tamara Manley, director of religious affairs at WHM, co-directed a lesson in kindness for dharma school students. Using a template and ideas from Ms. D. Trinidad Hunt and her Dharma-Centered Living 101 workshops, Sandy and Tamara shared a unique lesson on “KINDNESS”. They explained each section of the template and had a discussion with the students on their ideas about each. Students shared their personal realizations and were challenged to think further about the ‘actions’ section at home, or school, etc. The “Kindness” concept is just one of many words or emotions that can be used with the template. Nice job, everyone!
