The BWA thanks everyone who assisted with Obon on July 31st and August 1st. Many hours of preparation and the dedication and support received from BWA members, family and friends contributed to a most successful Obon with the sale of food and craft items. We are truly grateful for the donations (baked items, craft items and monetary) received and for the “Nishime Crew” (Paul Gushiken, Fred Toyama and Richard Ouchi) for preparing the delicious Nishime.
Our ladies continue to provide the beautiful floral arrangements weekly for church services.
The next event for the BWA is the annual Autumn Craft and Food Fair to be held on October 17th, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Our local vendors and vendors from Oahu will be participating, featuring an array of craft items and food items. This year’s Fair will include a couple of “first-time” vendors. In addition, our temple affiliates (Judo Club, Preschool, 4-H Clubs and Scouts) will be there with their specialty items. A few table spaces may be available for persons interested in being a vendor. The next BWA General Membership meeting is scheduled for October 11th, following the church service.
