Cub Scouts Transition to Troop 40

In a spirit of community and joyful engagement, Cub Scout Pack 40 recently hosted a delightful summer carnival, bringing together individuals and families from various groups and ages. This event was more than just a day of fun—it was an opportunity to nurture the values of  generosity, camaraderie, and shared happiness that resonate deeply with Buddhist teachings.

The carnival featured a series of games and activities thoughtfully designed to engage and entertain children from diverse backgrounds. By collaborating with local organizations such as 4H and WHM Preschool, as well as extending an invitation to boys from Kindergarten through 5th grade, Pack 40 exemplified the principle of inclusivity and community spirit.

At the heart of this event was the intention to create a space where joy and learning could flourish in harmony. Each game and activity was crafted to foster not only enjoyment but also the spirit of teamwork and mutual support. Such gatherings remind us of the interconnectedness of all beings and the importance of nurturing these bonds through meaningful and playful interactions.

For those who were not able to attend, there is still a chance to join the Pack 40 program. The spirit of community and the opportunity for personal growth and development are ongoing, and new members are warmly welcomed to be a part of this supportive and vibrant group.
In the words of the Buddha, “Happiness does not depend on what you have or who you are. It solely relies on what you think.”

Events like these are a testament to the positive impact of collective effort and the joy
that comes from engaging with others in meaningful ways.
