4-H is Back at Wailuku Hongwanji!

In October we welcomed back 4-H to the mission with two new clubs, the Lōkahi Girls (Grades 3 & 4) and the Aloha Girls (Grades 1 & 2).

The Lōkahi Girls held officer inductions in August for their 4th graders while the 3rd graders decided which officer position they would like to shadow in preparation for next year. They also joined the BWA craft fair with their own booth to help with care and comfort packages for children affected by fires in August. They would like to thank the community and church members for their generous donations and support. The girls worked hard manning the booth – Great job!

They are planning and gathering their supplies for the packages and aim to present them in December.

The Aloha girls held their kickoff meeting for their first year in 4-H and happily joined their sister club the Lōkahi Girls for some Halloween fun.

Collectively, these two clubs and any future clubs will be known as the Sakura 4-H clubs of Wailuku Hongwanji. They look forward to their new affiliation with the church and all of its members – Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!
